Pedicure for Modern Men in 2011

Pedicure for Modern Men in 2011

People correlate pedicures for women. We all know that women are suckers to have colors for their nails. Though men veer away from these activities, who says that they could not enjoy such activities until they have experienced so? Little do they know that pedicures are one of the most effective ways to ease out of stress of the day! Not only that, to have pedicures, men can maintain their health of their nails and their feet in general. There is nothing more relaxing than having a few minutes at the spa after a long hard day’s work.

Our feet in general have endured a lot of abuse from us. Our entire weight is carried by our feet. We need to pamper these little guys. Another reason why pedicures are needed by all people is that our toenails are prone to ingrown and hangnails. In the long run, these become painful. Maintenance is the key to prevent these conditions.

There is little difference between a woman’s pedicure and a man’s. Of course, most men would opt not to have any nail color on their nails. The procedures that are involved in mail pedicures would include filing and buffing the nails. If they would like to go for a full foot spa, they would have the buffing of the heels and soles as well as other parts of the feet that may be rough. Some nail hardener can also be applied to the nails.

Before entering any salon, men should determine what type of pedicure they want to have. Others may take a long time to finish, while some may take only a few minutes. The basic service is quick. One perk, though, you may be among women, unless you are in the male-market salon, like the barber shop.

Guys Should Not Be A Fashion Victims

Men Should Not Be A Fashion Victims

Fashion Victim. Two words. So much meaning. To be labeled a fashion victim is like having the worst case of chicken pox. Some men are suckers for this phenomenon. Okay, let us dissect the word piece by piece. There are about three main meanings of the word. First, it means following all the trends and looking like one big mannequin. Second it means wearing only branded clothes, who shops a lot and thinks he is fashion forward but does not think he looks absurd with all the trends on his body. The third one would be that this is a person who thinks that he is stylish yet he looks very much like a clown.

Fashion victims are across economical and intellectual boundaries. It is not about the clothes. It is about how you wear them. Here are some tips so you will not become a fashion victim yourself.

Fashion victims tend to over do stuff. Remember, the mantra, less is more. Just stick to one to two trends and not all the trends in one season. The trick of the trade is to mix and match them. Not only would this present you with a lot of choices but it is also economical.

Fashion victims do not have balance of the basics and trendy items in their wardrobe. For fashion to work there should be the right mix of everything. If you want to buy something, make sure that that is what you really want it and it is not just because it is trendy. Trends just come and go.

Fashion victims tend to follow someone, or something. A true blue fashionista is someone who is himself and not somebody else. When buying clothes, it has to be that it is what you want; it is your personality. Do not just get something because somebody told you to do so.

Summer Fashion Mistakes 2011

Summer Fashion Mistakes 2011

There must be something during this hot season that many would be led to abandon all sensibilities and become something of a fashion victim. Come to think of it, this is the time when people wear the least clothes yet also the time that people do the most fashion blunders.

Blame it on the weather, perhaps?

While many people are vacationing, their minds have left them as well. Here are some the deadly fashion sins that men have done over the course of the summer season.

Smelling too strong
Isn’t it nauseating when you smell men that have this strong musky scent during summer? The weather is already heavy and humid and the last thing men should do is to wear some of the same weight. Musky scent just doesn’t belong in the summer. Think of the chemical reaction of sweat and that musky scent of a perfume. A deadly combination and it is in a negative way. Combat the heat wave by wearing something light and lean like with the undertones of citrus or grass. Another example would be clean scents inspired by clean linen and water.

Socks + Shoes = deadly
What is it with men that they always wear socks? Socks for work. Okay. Passed. Socks for sports. Done. Passed.

Sandals and socks? No. Failed.

Men may wear socks to work or to play. Socks may even come in handy when it is chilly. But when it is summer, men should have the perfect reason to ditch the socks and wear sandals. Some men also have this knack of wearing brightly colored ones and pairing it with boat shoes. Don’t suffocate your feet and our eyes as well.

If you just don’t want to do away with the socks, make it knot socks as opposed to the tube ones most tourists wear.

Mens Swimwear 2011 Tips

Mens Swimwear Summer Tips

When it comes to men’s fashion swimsuits, one common mistake is wearing a swimsuit that doesn’t quite fit the guy. So the question is—what things should you do? And what SHOULDN’T you do?

First of all, don’t make the mistake of wearing a Speedo, just because you think it’ll make you look sexy. Speedos are fine and dandy, but more often than not, they’re either comical—or terrifying. It’s best to leave them to the side—even if you have killer abs and a six pack.

Next, swim trunks are very, very comfortable, but make sure that they’re not too tight or too short. If they are, they may not allow for enough movement and if you attempt to swim, you may find that they chafe. This isn’t a great idea. Never wear a really tight swim suit—unless it’s made to be tight, meaning the Speedo. Again, Speedos are rarely a good idea.

Next, you should try and pick a nice color for your swim trunks. This doesn’t mean that you have to wear all dark colors and bright neon orange. Since it’s all that you’re wearing, you can actually embrace your fondness for things that wouldn’t normally go with anything else!

But, don’t match your swimsuit to your towel. This is probably one of the most awkward matching jobs that you can do. The last thing that you want is to match your towel and your swimsuit. Finally, just enjoy wearing men’s fashion swimsuits—there aren’t as many rules!

2011 Casual Mens Fashion, Dressing It Down

Casual Men’s Fashion, Dressing It Down

Say that you’re a business man—and you aren’t used to dressing down; casual men’s fashion eludes you. It’s kind of unusual in your opinion and personally, you prefer the suit look. This is all fine and dandy, but what many people may not realize is that it can actually be a bit of a problem for those who find themselves in need of an outfit to dress down in—the question is, how exactly would someone who isn’t so great at dressing down, dress down?

Casual Fashion Style 2011

First of all, you need to understand that you can have the same grace while wearing casual men’s fashion as wearing, well, a suit. It’s all in how you wear it!

To start, be neat. Women love a guy that looks neat all the time. This isn’t saying that you need to wear a teeshirt that has been pressed, folded so it won’t wrinkle, and pair is with a little clip on tie to look distinguished—just make sure it’s neat. Wrinkles are okay—you can normally get rid of them by just tossing the teeshirt in the dryer for about ten minutes, anyways.

As for jeans, don’t go for the gangster look. This is probably the biggest casual men’s fashion “trends”, but it’s one of the most ridiculous. It would benefit you to keep your pants up. You can wear a shirt that is a little long and let it hang down, as opposed to tucking it in, for a very casual, conservative look. These are just a few quick and easy casual men’s fashion tips.

Wedding Attire for Modern Men 2011

Wedding Attire for Modern Men

You may be on your wits end when you are invited to a wedding. You might be wondering what your attire be. Sometimes the dress code may be confusing to decode. You need to check the invitation. First and foremost the invitation will give you an idea what kind of wedding you will be attending. Don’t just check it once. Check it twice. There are wedding invitations that would mention what kind of attire they want their guests to be in. Otherwise, just check the way the wedding invitation was written. Is it written in special paper with some special kind of font? The best bet would be formal attire.

Is the invitation looking graphic or a bit informal so the attire you can wear must be casual and so on. If you are unsure of what to wear, ask other friends who are coming to the wedding. If you are unsure, try to overdress unless it calls for black-tie events. This is better than being too casually dressed.

Formal dressing, most of the time would only be reserved to the groom and the ushers so don’t just go their without being cautious. Destination weddings are fun. Most destination weddings are in warmer climates and if they state which place to go to, the best option is to wear clothes in light material. Be sure that it is in light colors too.

When the wedding calls for semi-formal attire, it means you can wear a dress shirt with blazer and slacks. Formal attire would demand a suit. For the right look, opt for dark colored suits. If the wedding invitation calls for cocktail attire, formal suit is also called for. Black tie events call for tuxedo. Some would call for creative tuxedo events theme. If this happens, be a bit informal by wearing a collarless shirt, for instance.
