Men’s Fashion vs. Women’s Fashion
When it comes to fashion for men vs. women’s fashion, there are quite a few differences. However, what you may not realize is that these differences only highlight the similarities. So, if you’re wondering what these differences and similarities are—you’ve come to the right place!
First of all, you have the overall shape of men’s fashion. Most men’s shirts are designed to be loose at the waist and shoulders to allow for movement and room. Part of the reason is because a man’s shape can vary. Some men have more womanly shapes while some have tapered waists…while some are storing a spare tire in case their car breaks down. Keep this in mind as you take the time to pick out a shirt. A woman’s shirt, on the other hand, will most likely be a bit tighter around the shoulders (to accentuate her form) and have a waist that comes in, since that is the “ideal”.
Then there are pants. Men’s pants are made to accommodate certain things—for very good reason. Chafing can be a problem—along with several other issues, including getting caught in the zipper. The point is that male pants are built for males—while females are created a slightly different way.
Finally, jackets are different. They aren’t exactly built the same as shirts, but there is a noticeable dip in a woman’s jacket that is not present in a man’s jacket. This is a really, really important thing to remember when it comes to men’s fashion.
