When men think of fashion advice and tips, they often think of clothing, accessories and even color lessons from snobby women in the fashion industry. What they don’t often think of, however, is fashion advice for the shoes they wear. Men sometimes spend so much time and energy on their clothing that they forget their shoes look horrible with a particular outfit. Knowing which shoes to buy for what is key.
No matter the occasion or event you are dressing for, it is important to remember that neutral colors are your friend. You can’t go wrong with a white, black, gray or khaki colored pair of sandals, for instance, for any outfit in the summer, and the same for boots in the winter. For the man who isn’t used to shopping for shoes for several outfits, neutral colors can get the most bang for your buck. Another thing to keep in mind about shoes is that of style. Unfortunately, work boot type shoes just really don’t work well with shorts, and so on. Finding a few good pairs of shoes for every season and occasion can go a long way on not much effort.
Shopping for and buying shoes doesn’t have to be a huge deal, and even the basically clueless male can find stylish shoes for any occasion without having to buy forty pairs of shoes, one for every occasion. The key is to go with neutral colors in a versatile style, and go with what you like. Remember shoes aren’t good unless you can wear them comfortably.
